Model of a saddle stitch endband, loosely following the description given by Szirmai (1999, 203-216). View from the back (spine). Model made on foam core board. Primary endband is plain wound with 12/3 linen thread over an 8 ply linen cord core and sewn through an alum tawed spine lining. Secondary endband is made from alum tawed skin cover and 12/3 linen thread, toned with acrylic paint. Katherine Kelly, 2023.
