A SodaStream is a device that combines compressed carbon dioxide (CO2) gas with water to produced carbonated water. They are used in conservation labs to make saturated calcium bicarbonate and saturated magnesium bicarbonate solutions for deacidification treatments. Katherine Kelly, April 2024.
