Conservation Supply Sources

From MediaWiki

This page is designed to provide a list of suppliers for materials, tools, and equipment used for the conservation, preservation, storage, display, exhibition and handling of art and artifacts. AIC does not endorse or promote these companies or their products. This list is intended to be an open resource--all additions are welcome.

The section on General Suppliers will carry products for specialties listed under Specific Topics. However, the companies under Specific Topics should specialize in that topic or have a unique selection of products related to that field.

*Importing and Manufacturer Responsibility

When a product is imported into the United States from another country, the importer becomes the manufacturer of record under OSHA regulations. This designation makes the importer legally responsible for ensuring that the product complies with all applicable safety standards and for any harm or damages it may cause to workers. If the importer has employees, they are also required to prepare or update the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to list their own name and contact information as the U.S. manufacturer or distributor.
