Lynn Kidder, Rare Book Conservator, Library of Congress Conservation Division [edit | edit source]
Co-compiler of Book Conservation Catalog along with Christine McCarthy. I have been at the Library since 1983, when Peter Waters was Chief of Conservation. I began work at the Library as a Phased Conservator and in addition to learning on the job took bookbinding courses with David Brock and Tom Albro.
I graduated from the Corcoran School of Art in 1983 with a BFA.

I am interested in wooden board bindings, housing structures, digitizing, illuminated manuscripts, prints and drawings.
This is only possible because of the incredible range of collections at the Library and the scope of Conservation involvement with these materials. How fortunate is that?
