A section on Binder's Board would be an excellent addition to this chapter.--Kkelly (talk) 12:45, 16 June 2015 (CDT)

This chapter would also benefit from images and an expansion into non-western book boards.--Kkelly (talk) 16:05, 3 November 2016 (CDT)

"Japanese pasteboard was traditionally used for the covers of account and receipt books. This pasteboard consists of several sheets of pure kōzo paper that have been pasted together and then polished on one side. A coded imprint on the reverse side of the pasteboard indicates how many sheets of paper it is composed of. Unfortunately, authentic pasteboard is rarely available in Japan today. It can be duplicated by pasting together several sheets of sturdy paper, or some other thick paper (such as a heavyweight torinoko) may be substituted." -Ikegami, Kōsanjin, and Barbara B. Stephan. Japanese Bookbinding: Instructions from a Master Craftsman. 1st ed. New York: Weatherhill, 1986. p. 18. --Jsweitzer-lamme (talk) 08:43, 17 March 2020 (CDT)
