Jennifer Hain Teper has served as Head of the Conservation Unit for the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2001 and since 2009 has also served as head of Preservation. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in August of 2000 with a MLIS and Certificate of Advanced Study in the Conservation and Preservation of Library and Archival Materials. Before her appointment at the University of Illinois she has worked at the University of Texas’ Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, the University of Pittsburgh Library, the New York Botanical Gardens Library, and the University of Kentucky Audio-visual archives. She is adjunct faculty with the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois, is the chair of the campus’ Preservation Working Group, and currently serves on the board of directors of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works.
